Another Nostalgia trip by KingNot Another Nostalgia trip by KingNot
Wasted some productive time playing a collection of classic games.
Tip of the hat to an ancient, but classic FRP game.

Atari Adventure.
Going to animate text over this once I can find a sound file, preferrably the old game sound file.

Yorgle: "Raar! Me eat you!"
Hero: "Y'know, Yorgle, even outside a 4 bit enviornment, you still look like a DEFORMED DUCK!!!"
Yorgle: "Raar! Me eat you!"

Anyways, considering the entire GAME was done in the space of this image's THUMBNAIL, let's give a tip of the hat to Warren Robinett, it's uncredited (unless you find the "hidden dot") programmer and Bob Pepper, the artist for the cover! [link]

How the hell did they think of making a dragon look like duck? I've seen dragons on other 4-bit games that looked better.

To quote Strong Bad, "Somebody get this freaking duck away from me!"

Tip: If it eats you, hope the bat picks you up. At least you'll get a nice tour of the land before he shits you out, and if you're lucky, he'll drop the chalice in the yellow castle.

Believe it or not, I have never played an atari. I do remember back when the NES was new. That was really back in the day. For some reason this kind of reminds me of Homestarrunner stuff in a way.

Old games are fun to pull out and play. And surprisingly, soem of them are still much better than what is out today. They may not have the ohhh...ahhh... graphics, but in pure gme play, they rock.
